BECKY MORGAN

Becky Morgan has lived and breathed music her entire life. From falling in love with hip hop in the early ’80s, diving head-first into the rave explosion of the early ’90s and moving seamlessly into jungle and DnB by ’92, her journey mirrors the evolution of underground culture itself.

By 1994, Becky was living in the city of Bristol surrounded by the explosion of groups like Massive Attack and Portishead and by 1995 began working at Full Cycle Records for Mercury Music Prize winners Roni Size & DJ Krust, helping shape the label and running the events for eight influential years. She also went on to program the promoters at one of Bristol’s hottest dance spots Level.  By 2004 and living in London, a tour managing role for US DJ legend DJ Jazzy Jeff was offered and by 2005, she founded Stylus Entertainment (a global booking agency for US hip hop DJ’s and producers) taking on global bookings for an enviable roster of hip hop royalty - DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier, DJ Ca$h Money, De La Soul and many more, cementing her reputation as a serious force behind the scenes.

An introduction in London in 2005 with Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin’ Criminals / BBC 6 Music / Virgin Radio), led to her adding another music legend to her roster.  By 2006 she took Stylus Entertainment to NYC and by 2007 was married to the then FLC frontman 20 years on, Becky remains a creative business & life partner.

Today, she’s back behind the decks, DJing with authority and soul, drawing on five decades of musical knowledge - from disco and soul to hip hop, house and of course, drum & bass.
